Special Appearance for the Indy Rainbow Chamber at Pride: Kimberly Roberts as Judy Garland.

Indianapolis - Kimberly Roberts will appear for the Chamber at the 2012 Circle City InPride Festival on June 9.  Kimberly as Judy Garland will greet folks at the Chamber booth from approximately 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  She will also be an ambassador as we visit other businesses and organizations to recruit new members, and will visit our members to help draw people to our members tables.

Outside of her appearance for the Chamber, Kimberly may be available for other appearances or shows while she is in town. Please contact JJ Gufreda at jgufreda@gayindynow.com if you are interested in having Kimberly make an appearance or perform while she is in town.

A farm girl from Rockville, Indiana, Kimberly Roberts has always been told of her likeness to Judy Garland, the beloved great movie and song star. As a child, she was scared for Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, and later tuned in with her parents to the Judy Garland Shows.

Kimberly was recently chosen by Vanity Fair along with Judy Davis, Tracie Bennett, Rufus Wainright and others to be featured in their April website article and slideshow highlighting notable actors who have played Judy Garland. Today, she pays tribute to Judy through her impersonation on stage and off. She appeared at the London One Act Festival in 2011 and has upcoming performances at the 2012 Circle City IN Pride, and the 2012 Toronto Fringe Festival.

Her performances embody the celebrity of Judy Garland! She so accurately  portrays the big heart and desire to be loved that engendered Judy Garland to so many. moving many who see Kimberly's performance to tears. Come see Kimberly Roberts as Judy Garland and you too will be moved.
